Shot checklist
- Include some sky or a background with depth. A storm needs room for clouds and rain to move through.
- Loose elements such as hair, clothing, trees, or grass make the wind believable. Keep some in frame.
- Overcast or low-contrast source light blends better than hard sunshine with strong shadows.
- Tell the prompt where the wind is blowing from; a consistent direction sells the storm more than rain density.
- If people speak in the shot, ask for a lighter storm so it does not bury their faces.
